Sexual behavior rules, personal space and boundaries, maltreatment, self –disclosure, sexual education, empathy, good touch, bad touch, thinking-errors, prevention-plan, impulse control techniques and event sequencing are a few of the interventions we use to address sexual abuse and other inappropriate sexual behaviors.
Predisposing risk factors include maltreatment experiences, lack of empathy insufficient social skills, gender identity and low self-esteem. Precipitating risk factors include poor emotional regulation, thinking errors, low impulse control and poor use of conflict resolution skills.
