Our History
Our History
New Day Recovery Youth & Family Services, Inc. was founded by Dr. Roseline Nsikak in September of 1998, in a two-room office at Citizen’s Tower, Oklahoma City with two therapists.
For a period of one year and six months, Dr. Roseline worked pro bono with HMO clients, she got absolutely no compensation during this period, neither was New Day Recovery paid for the services administered. Dr. Roseline managed to pay the therapist from her own savings. Most of the clients had basic needs such as food and shelter; Dr. Roseline had to find sources for their food and shelter.
New Day Recovery has since grown tremendously due to our quality of service to at-risk families and youths, who are currently in DHS and/or OJA custody, as well as adults with mental health who are involved with Community Corrections and others who request and are identified as in need of our services.
New Day Recovery offers a wide range of services in order to meet the varying needs of the youths and families that we serve including Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy, both Individual and Group Psychosocial Rehabilitation services, and Case Management services. Services are offered in a home-based format, with the exception of our Therapeutic Groups, which are offered in our office.
New Day Recovery is blessed to have some of the very best Therapists and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists in the entire state. We have over 10 Case Managers/Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialists and 20 therapists with master’s degrees who are either licensed with (LCSW, LPC, LADC, LBP, LMFT) or under supervision for their licensure.
